The army operation Carl's referring to, Operation Rremly, was, of course, the dragon hunt that got Matt drafted into the army. Most of the scouts didn't return from it, including Matt, except for the fact that he survived and simply didn't report back to the castle. King Landis himself chose the name of Operation Rremly. Though he chose to name it after a dragon of legend, the name was very ill-fitting. While the legendary Rremly was a peace-loving chameleonic dragon who lived in a lightly wooded land and enjoyed playing with his woodland friends, especially the squirrels, the dragon who terrorized the Landis Kingdom was a terrifying green dragon who lived near the North Roads and enjoyed consuming villagers. King Landis really has to study his dragon legends.
